Learn About Psalm 100 Ministries

Our Mission

To help children build a better foundation in life and raise up the communities around them by providing reasons to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord", through music, education, service, or the satisfied sigh of a full stomach.

Why was Psalm 100 Created?

Psalm 100 Ministries was established in 2024 to help bring back a sense of community and bring a sense of hope to children and families who may be struggling in various ways.

Especially now, we know it can be hard for parents to find the extra money to help fuel a kid's passion. Many many studies have shown the positive impact of being involved in music and other extracurricular activities and we want to be a resource to make that possible for all kids!

The need.

Psalm 100 is based in Grant City. The county seat for the smallest county in Missouri. According to the state of Missouri, nearly 20% of the population just in Worth County lives below the poverty line. This includes 35% of children and 10% of Worth County seniors.

With the increases in cost of living prices over the last several years; more and more families are having to try to figure out how to balance bills and food. All the while trying to give their children the chance to experience what they enjoy and what may be an important outlet.

Our Impact

Psalm 100 Ministries works with teachers, schools, and communities to make sure all students needs are provided for on trips, competitions, and for class. This includes helping them to focus during their classes by making sure they eat. We do this by having community events that provide a chance for the community to come together and by using proceeds from events and donations to fund our programs. Taking pressure off kids, parents and their communities.

The ultimate goal is to grow large enough to expand our programs and reach. Aiming to help as many of  the 34,000 residents living below the poverty line in Northwest Missouri as possible.

Our Location

In 2025 we were given a donation to purchase our current building. It's a church that was built in 1904 with an education wing that was built on in the 1960s. It needs some love and even updating in a few places, but we are so grateful for the fact that we have been gifted with a place from where we can operate.

The sanctuary will be a great place to hold concerts and recitals, there is a fellowship hall downstairs with a kitchen that provides the means for our meal programs,  and the education wing has 5 classrooms we can use for our after-school programming.
